Petals Of A Flower

Each petal represents an event along the line of my and David's relationship. This was written about a week before he broke up with me.

He loves me... a 21-mile bike ride to my house.
    He loves me not... he believes my "friend" over me.
He loves me... he picks our perfect song.
    He loves me not... he dates my best friend.
He loves me... he still wants me.
    He loves me not... I hurt him.
He loves me... he's still there for me.
    He loves me not... I destroy him.
He loves me... he won't let go.
He loves me... he still takes me back.
He loves me... he gives me my break.
He loves me... he still takes me back.
He loves me... he says so.
        Last petal?
        Well... I guess I love him more.

What a nice take on He loves me .. He loves me not.. I sat one night thinking about how I could do this and well what you have done here is accomplished what I have not yet.. great wording and flow. It's sad when we love more then what we get in return.. I will attempt to do this again however my format was a little different... yours is brilliant in it's own unique persona... thank you for sharing!!!
