Still There's Hope

Still There's Hope

A Poem by Jade Mayhew
"

Duet. My friend helped me out with it. I kinda like it.

"

Verse~ Female
Look into these eyes of mine
If you want to know the truth
Believe the words I say to you
My love for you is proof
It's proof that I won't hurt you
I swear your heart is safe
You think that you can't trust me
Cause our past-time trust is frayed

Chorus~ Female
Slowly we drift apart
Still you remain in my heart
Lies been told
Arguing grows old
Still there's hope
Still there's hope

Verse~ Male
You lost my trust so long ago
Lost it time and time again
Destroyed what we had as lovers
And now what was left as friends
Yet my heart's still aching for you
And though the trust is frayed
I love you, still, with everything
Despite the mistakes you've made

Chorus~ Male
Slowly now we drift apart
Still you remain in my heart
Lies been told
Arguing gets old
Still there's hope
Still there's hope

Bridge~
[[Male]]
I couldn't stand to say goodbye
I need you in my arms
[[Female]]
I never meant to make you cry
Or cause you any harm
[[Female + Male]]
Can't we just have
Things the way
They always used to be

Chorus~
[[Male]]
Slowly now we drift apart
Still you remain in my heart
[[Female]]
Lies been told
Arguing grows old
Still there's hope, yeah
[[Male]]
Still there's hope
[[Both]]
Still there's hope
