Tiramisu

Tiramisu

A Poem by Jacqueline Corrine

Right now we're at that place
where the sand can reach between our toes
And only sweet heaven knows how good it feels to be with you,
the first day you tried tiramisu
Oh yea, its the best. We stayed for hours.
Im wrapped up in your warm chest
And the sea side tonight will never rest.
Playing with fingers in my hair.
The orange sky illuminating romantic flare and for once I'm still, calm.
I rub lovingly on your palms begging you to never release.
This love we have shall not cease.
No, baby, it will move on towards the horizon of these sandy shores.
Your kisses spread deep to my pores,
And I shiver in the moment.
I don't want you to rent this love,
I want you to own it.
So we can travel back to this day, back to this night.
Fifty years from now I'll ask you,
Do you remember the first time you tried tiramisu?
