Heart String Sorrows

Heart String Sorrows

A Poem by Jack...
"

For a friend I have hurt deeply...played in the key of final farewell

"

Heart String Sorrows

Sadness plays my heart strings

With a bow of rosin’d guilt

Tear drops stain the notes upon the page

Sorrowed cello whispers

Of a soundless worry wilt

Harmonies distorted in this rage

Out of tune concertos

Fall as fractured cymbals blare

Steady as the beat of gathered pain

Broken mirror rhythms

Sit upon the favored chair

Misery in musical refrain

Violin’d distractions

Born of melodies so thin

Echoing performed apologies

A cappella opus

In a prelude to the hymn

Composed for you in all sincerity

So beautiful soulful....i just lost in it...

Beautiful words in search of forgiveness. We're human, so we mess up. Realizing you're wrong and apologizing may not fix things, but it's a step in the right direction, and definitely a step worth taking.

I do not remember if I heard it or read it, but an old saying I keep in my bag of tricks is this:

"God expects that sometimes you are going to spill the milk. He is interested in seeing how you clean up after you do."

Apologies are hard, but they are necessary, and they need to acknowledge both the wrong, and the other person, to be authentic. Reaching across those distances is hard. Nice work.

An honest write .. You`re an a*s?? Really?? Ummm .. I don`t find you being a*s but if you say then yeah, you could be ... anyway, this write`s revealing the mysteries of solitude hearts.

~~Tear drops stain the notes upon the page~~ This line`s very beautiful & thought-invoking. Well written!

In your performed apologies I have felt the immense sincerity, the agonizing pain for her, the composed melodies of new beginnings. A sad write but one that is true. So glad to see you back in full force...:)........
