Can’t fail

 

I’ve traveled this highway of zig zag emotions

Cried every tear drop my heart it could spare

Lost out in love with the best of intentions

Stood on a corner so keenly aware

 

Looked in the mirror and saw my reflection

Counted the marks in the pain I did find

Pushed it aside leaving little detection

Smiled at this life at the front of my mind

 

Put on my pants in a fit of conviction

Pulled on these boots as I head for the door

Shoved every fear in a forceful eviction

Facing the world that does greet me once more

 

Confident eyes stare in every direction

Finding each dream will become ever true

Picking a clover to fill my collection

Grabbing that rainbow now long overdue

 

All that I am is man of precision

Strong as can be to the end of the rail

Love me or leave me, becomes your decision

I will be me for I know I can’t fail
