Luna Ticks and Clock Faced Stares

Luna Ticks and Clock Faced Stares

A Poem by Jack...
"

Just some nonsense for Frieday

"

Luna Ticks and Clock Faced Stares

Dredged along the waterfront

Pilings lap the trace

Sinking fast in deep despair

Such a lonely place

Tuna fish in angler’s garb

Count these blessings slim

Floating with a wrong way barge

Forgetting how to swim

Beams of iron ready mix

Craters formed to crush

Phases of a crescent slice

Slow to beat the rush

Smiling in the wilted sky

Blinding to my eyes

Wasting hours yet to breathe

Tug boats in disguise

Shoes the weight of twenty leagues

Burdens to the deep

Splashing joyful solitude

No one wants to keep

Treading on the surface dark

Barracuda dreams

Luna ticks and clock faced stares

Tell me what it means

Never to late for me my good friend. Thanks so very much. You are always my smile.
Love the wordplay of this fishy tale. It must be Frieday indeed, that's when those ticks go delirious and begin to float the wrong way...as those nasty barracudas start to circle. This one was unique and fun to read Jack.

Anything for you...pick you up about 8:00?
It doesn't mean a great deal. TIme is only perception. People have to have a way to measure. Clocks are supposed to be tools, not dictators.

Thanks Marie, I'd say more but I'm running out of time...just kidding.
This is very creative! You have painted a picture of the story of time. I felt as if I was adrift in the ocean on a night of a full moon. Beautiful piece! :)

You are welcome :)
Superbly creative. Dreaming of the kind of love that those want while waiting in loneliness, as time ticks along, for that special one to appear.

Thanks so much my friend. I appreciate your thoughtful words.
I'm smiling in your wilted sky Jack with this sad, humorous and splendid imagery filled poem. I think along with love you have been dreaming of going fishing, tuna tasting with their clocked-faced stares and dredging the bottom to find meanings...Excellent and creative...:)...............
