Haha, Jack, sometimes you make me feel embarrassed of being seventeen. But nonetheless, I know so many girls just like this. Seeking attention from the wrong people by things they should not be doing and being in places they should stay away from. One of those girls used to be my dearest friend. But all of my advice fell on dead ears. I guess that sometimes there is nothing that can be done. Excellent poem, dear friend!! :)
Wow. Such a beautiful and true plot wrapped in an amazing arrangement of words. I really love your poems! Thank you for writing and sharing it with us! :)

Thank you for your sweet comments to me. I appreciate you stopping by.
I think it is beautiful. Could you give me some tips on writing so well? I would really want to become an author or writer. The concept of penning down your ideas has always seemed wonderful to me, and this poem just makes that feeling even better.

Oh, yes, as a teenager I wished the years ago....if only I could drink legally and go to the discos without a fake I.D. (not that I ever did of course! LOL) Makeup a little too pronounced and stiletto heels hurting, but both a symbol of pseudo maturity....one that others see right through. I enjoyed this one tremendously, Jack. Lydi**

Thanks so much Lydi. Discos with a fake ID...why does that sound familiar to me?
That moment in life where wishing you were older than you are. I remember those days. Now that life's passing me by so quickly I long for those days back.
Very nice Jack

I know exactly what you mean Troy. Thanks so much.
Oh...to be 17 again and wishing I were 25...if I knew then what I know now, I would have traded those stilletto heels and bad boys for sneakers and bubble gum (they last longer and taste sweeter and sure the hell don't hurt your feet)
Hugs, Julie

Smiling here Julie. Love this review. Thanks so much for your sweet words and humor this morning.
Such an awkward point in life - that in-between, trying to fit in, trying to figure out the world... and when the mistakes become so much bigger... I've known her, Jack... you pained her perfectly.
