Writer's Paradise 2 - For Cryingkate

Writer's Paradise 2 - For Cryingkate

A Poem by Jack...

Writer’s Paradise 2 " for Cryingkate

Like an answer it calls,

loud voices of the inspired,

sipping coffee cups

Picking moments like fresh corn,

hoping for the sweetest

Falling into space

in tiny squares of who we are

Lost in words

Requested visits due in time

as the door opens

the mat is clean…WELCOME

Breathing in search of dreams

Still dark outside as

bright light finds me

and I am home

Where I belong…mostly

Some love me, some don’t

some don’t care one way or the other,

but they are my family,

sharing thoughts and ideas,

well wishes flourish

and sometimes anger

Human beings, trapped in a world…

not trapped, (that was wrong) found living.

touching others and soothing hearts

Examining feelings with magnified senses

Skipping from here to there,

dressed up for an evening in

Finding direction and offering it

Poetry, it is our blood,

the rivers we float on hand in hand

till we reach the falls

and go headfirst into our own writer’s paradise

You are welcome anytime my friend. Thanks so much for visiting today.
Isn't it something and you are so true in this poem...the writing calls us and we can help but follow it's voice. If we dismiss it...it's even stronger the next time it calls. Sometimes it's a girl or man or both, the seasons are a word. It transforms to become what we need. I don't know CryingKate but she is obviously a beloved artist with the ability to motivate such a moving write.

Thanks so much Marie.
I need to find this utopia. I was lucky. I got station in Monterey, California after the war from 1992-1994. Three poetry reading a week. One in Pacific Groves. Musicians, writer and actors in the coffee shop. I read poetry three days a week and learn. A lot of word-men/women on the coastline. Made me keep writing and learning. I wish more cities got active in reading and art. Would be a better world. Thank you for sharing the amazing poem. Cryingkate will like.

Hey... I had to erase my other comments. I was trying to be polite and thank everyone with some kind comments but as usual I talked too much.
I felt it was taking away from Jacks beautiful poem.. So I'll just say. Beautiful and thanks for the sweet words.
