Eating crow till Sunday bleeds

Eating crow till Sunday bleeds

A Poem by Jack...

Insensitive words blame

Anchoring doubts in deep sea nonsense

Missing the mark in absurdity

Sometimes we speak without thinking

Offensive whispers merge

Rearing ugly heads of shame

Rearranging what once was

Yelling in moronic voices

Announcing secrets

Never stopping to think

Dangling from tethered phrases

Raging at the machine

Eating crow till Sunday bleeds

Apologizing once again

Crow, eaten cold with feathers attached.. yelling in moronic voices is usually a good way to get in huge trouble... but telling secrets, thats the pits, no wonder you feel terrible.. I think though you will be forgiven even if things don't go back to the same way things once were.. honest words in your poem Jack ~~redzone

Thank you so very much my friend. unfortunately I believe you are correct.
Words have meaning, words have power. You have articulated that exceptionally well in this piece. This will resonate with all, as everyone has eaten crow a time or two (or 3 or 4) in our lives, I know I sure have. One can only hope we learn from the situation, make amends, and let go...

Yes, I've eaten crow too, many times. It is, however, comforting to know that others have had the same experience and can relate. Also, many beautifully written lines here. Love it!

We must choose our words carefully...but sometimes emotion overrides reason and we say things we regret. That is the power of words, once spoken they can't be taken back but they certainly can be dined upon. Nicely done.

A powerful hodge podge of emotions here Jack. Feeling like a loser and a victim of your own words with bitterness aftertaste. Don't be embarrased I hope...Excellent...:)..................
