"It is a sick, sick world,
spinning for some, leering at others"
Who ever said it's fair? It seems to be leering at me for as far as I can remember. And Jack, thanks for always flooding me with quality RRs. Another good poem from a good person.

Thanks so very much Blue. Though I think I need to borrow your name today, I am quite blue.
Wow. This is so good. The world is so evil...and it just seems to be getting worse...and worse...and worse...
Thank God for those few, precious friendships...
You know I can so relate to this Jack. The world is so messed up and nothing goes right. It throws obstacles at you when you don't need them, when you're down already and you feel like the world is on your shoulders...
//And still a star shines, fractured but glowing
shedding light to textured canvas
Inspiring beauty in another’s ink
crying watercolor tears in brushstroke wonder
shading edges so the past sleeps in it’s own nightmare
pieced together by friendship,
so tell me…why does my heart still break? //
When you have the answer to the last line, let me know. Why does our heart break even if we are happy...? Loved it Jack. Good job, my friend.

The world is a wicked place, that is why we should cherish the good friendships we have and do whatever it takes to keep them intact for they will be our strength. I appreciate you my friend and the kindness you always leave for me.
We are having a conversation here my sweet friend, all through as I read this poem, I felt like I was there with you and you were telling me all these things you have written and finally asked me why does my heart still break? I do not have an answer write now but maybe you can give me sometime we can have this conversation again and maybe then I will get an answer.
You are simply an amazing poet who takes your readers to that very place you are while writing.

Thank you Sunshine for your kind words to me. We can have that conversation anytime you like.
An inspired and inspiring poem in a late awakening for humans before it is too late. Cherishing life, liberty and justice are cornerstones...A powerful write Jack...:).........

Yep. You are so right. Welcome...:).........................
Maybe my dear Jack because it's human and we know not what we do....well there is a lot of us that do and then there are those who are just oblivious...I am surprised twice today.. once with that lovely portrait and now with this dark plea of forgiving...please forgive me that I don't come round enough. Your a magical talent!

'Claiming lives like junkyard fenders, crying water colour tears in brush stroke wonder.' It is an eternal puzzle to me how mankind can be so cruel and destructive yet still be capable of producing beauty that takes the breath away.
These dark lines encapsulate my thoughts perfectly.

There is some horrific stuff that goes on out there, some we are aware of and some we are not. It just breaks my heart and I felt i had to write something.
Not much to tell about me, I am just Jack, I am a poet, a writer, a musician, a painter, a builder and a dreamer. I live in south Texas but am originally from New Jersey and miss it more and more all .. more..
