My friends, this is not about relationships, or talking or love or anything at all...It's just a damn poem. Geez.....Kind of how I was feeling at the time....

Grabbing a thread
and a rusty old needle
stitching this mouth
so to no longer speak
Draining that blood
pulled from fingertip prickings
crimson expense
slowly rendering weak
Well whatever its about - and I get it. Sometimes we just write... but that part was flipping awesome.

Thanks so very much Tammy. When you figure out what it is about...let me know, okay?
Yeah, I know, the disclaimers. Not necessary to comment on the personal life unless it is clear in the poem or the note from the author that's what you want. As to form, font, word usage, rhythm etc., all good and a solid piece.
Ha! See what happens when you raise people's expectations...and then you give them "just a damn poem"...
You think you can take a break, maybe, from being the "Prince of Romance", and write "just a damn poem", do you?
Well...maybe this once.
It's a pretty damn good damn poem, anyhow...damn it , boy, you got some damn talent!
Now, see what you made me go and do? I'll have to adjust my halo...
AGAIN!!
Jack, my mind has betrayed me as of late...I can't write and I can't focus enough to give articulate reviews. Obviously this does deserve an articulate review but I can only say that I relate to every word and every line. You've certainly captured the feeling of a dreamer here, particularly one that feels like I do. Wonderful work my friend.

What a journey, Jack! Glad to see you here as I pop in again.
This poem is rich with thoughts, details, exquisite embellishments describing each moment's thought. You have a wonderful talent to write - and clearly it crosses from light and romantic, to dark and sorrowful with expert ease. Well done, Jack!

Thank you so very much my friend. I always appreciate when you stop by.
Not much to tell about me, I am just Jack, I am a poet, a writer, a musician, a painter, a builder and a dreamer. I live in south Texas but am originally from New Jersey and miss it more and more all .. more..
