Echoed surf a’ whispered shores

Melodic rhythm ~ twilight’s dance

Alone my love does play for you

On mystic strings in winged romance

 ~

Neath heartbeat sails of velvet skies

Darkened shadow’s purple haze

Transparent flows a’ shimmered light

To harmonize with lonely days

 ~

For hear my love, eurhythmic dreams

Hypnotically our song takes flight

Lyrically of purest sound

Across symphonic seas this night

What can I say? This is the type of poetry I really love and was taught by my teacher 40 years ago. It has the rhythm that Mr. Lee so harped on, and the rhyme scheme chosen is perfect. It is a lovely write and I selfishly view it as written for me. Usually, I try to follow a pattern, as you have done with this--doesn't matter if you created the pattern or you learned it from a book--I have a very valued , old as the earth, ugly green rhyme book for which i paid $1 in Danbury, CT back in the day. I use it occasionally. Your words and your wording are eloquent.

Wonder if it is the same one. Later, when I get into my cleaning mode, I will check out the title. We have been out of school for snow & cold, and thus I clean and write...I alternate. Oh, and I do watch too much Law & Order.
