By my handA Poem by Jack...
By my hand
And as I slip ~ shaking,
my voice turns to a grizzly haze
As a fog does engulf me
with grey stone enigmas
I breathe in the hatred
now aglow in my eyes,
in fire braid trappings
and teeth now bared
Gray like ash,
A face in the shadows leers
Throwing kisses in putrid pulses
from lips built on the mire
Drenching each maiden pure
with a filth hidden behind
a stench not of common man,
but of evil’s tailor, unfit, uncut… un-sewn
I enter this realm
alone, yet unafraid
Misunderstood in the face of treachery
Carrying a sword honed
of respect, unwavering sharpened steel
Running into the fray...the spoils
to cast aside hypnotically induced wishes…
and slice off the head of the beast
Standing triumphant I rise,
on a daylight illumined battlefield,
this reward of sweat and honor,
a shield to your heart, your name, your every breath
My promised words that you will be safe,
protected within my misunderstood arms
Nightmares shall fall in the blood pits,
whatever may come…by my hand
