Spider web tears

Spider web tears

A Poem by Jack...

My tears to a spider web cling

Captured sorrow

teetering on patterend thoughts

and anguished pleas

Free in the wind and sunlight glare

Until falling,

finding the earth barren and parched,

absorbed until they mean

nothing

Aww I'm glad :)
Melancholy comes to mind. Captures ones own sorrow. Fine work.

You are most welcome Jack
I felt the sorrow here Jack...
I think your poem dhows the emotion very well.

As a point of philosophy, I would add this thought to the end of your poem, "and everything".

The "nothing" as the last line captures the sadness the poem induced. Reminiscent of late night grieving, how thoughts get stuck and prevent sleep until it's too late. Too many morning I watched the Sun rise over some needless heartbreak or anxiety only to have them dissolve as time passed.

I am hesitant to describe such sadness as lovely, but the words certainly are.
