Much lucidity in your windows mind Jack, nothing blocks your view or your supreme talent to reach out and touch a heart with your poetry...always a treat my friend.

Just sitting here gazing at the sunrise when your photo and review popped up on my screen...that's when I realized, indeed there is something more beautiful than a Texas sunrise.

Oh Brock, you say the luvliest things...always my pleasure ;-)
Sweet poem, Jack! Glad to see your moments 'closed' from the cafe are short lived and you are still here for us to share in your gift of stringing the words to wind around our hearts. Good morning, dear friend! This is a thoughtful read :)

I just have a lot of plates spinning at the moment - gotta keep them from falling! I keep thinking I have a flash of inspiration, but then my head warps it around a bit and I decide not to post... baby steps, my friend, baby steps! Lol... at least on new writing. Everything else is running on ahead - book is a little slower than planned, but out of my control so... :)
Your poems spark envy my friend. You write with such succinct clarity, yet you are not afraid of breaking the bounds of convention in any way. Lovely and excellent verse...

Thanks so very much my friend. I appreciate you stopping by.
This is so sweet Jack. There are those that live in our hearts forever...and there are those poems that touch our hearts. You have touched mine. Your poem is lovely.

Thanks so much Julie. A nice welcome to the morning for me .
Sweet ...sweet...sweet. You can see her everywhere...even if she's not really there. The eyes see the physical, but heart can see deeper...a different dimension when it comes to love.
Thanks for sharing this piece, Jack. Kudos!

Thank you so much Dhaye. I appreciate your kindness.
Teddy bears and butterflies
Upon your table sit
Beauty framed in sorrowed sighs
In moments felt to quit
Loneliness it seems your friend
Perhaps it just might be
Though if the darkness does offend
I hope you think of me.
(favorite stanzas..after the first that is). ;)
#sigh. I really look forward to your poems Jack. This was beautiful and soothing and very easy to relate to.
I love that the speaker doesn't deem losing out on the other sights the window lets us be privy to as a loss, as long as the one who's presence is longed for is within sight.
Thanks for a most beautiful piece. :)

Thank you so very much my friend. Such lovey comments to start my day...
See, I see this like no matter where a person is; locked themselves away, or gone you still see them and feel them... in your heart, because even if you never saw someone whom you were close to, they'd still be in your heart. And the windows are so you can always be reminded of that person whenever you feel down....

Seems you feel that even if someone shuts self away, you still experience her or his presence in glimpses, dreams and thoughts because - that's all you want - no matter what the other would have. Perhaps the windows are memories or the desire to see more than
