Wishing everyone a great 2014!!!!

 

 

 

 

Happy New Beer

 

I found a brand new label

On a bottle in the fridge

Next to leftover pizza

Balanced on a ridge

 

I wonder where it came from

Not my normal brand of beer

This one wore a smile

Broad, from ear to ear

 

The name I read was “Happiest”

Strange as it could be

I held on tight, this happy beer

Smiling up at me

 

The twist off cap was waiting

So I gave it a turn

Set it on the counter

My thirst began to yearn

 

Reached into the cupboard

Grabbed a pewter mug

Lifted up the bottle

It poured out with a chug

 

Then I started thinking

Before I took a taste

About my friends on WC

This beer I can not waste

 

So this was my decision

And not a drop I’ll spill

With this frosty mug of beer

I decided that I will

 

Drink a toast to each and all

I’ve met along the way

Raise my glass to every friend

To wish a perfect day

 

And many more that you may find

In this up coming year

I send my love to everyone

with the happiest new beer
