Taken for granted?

 

 

 

 

 

Breathing

 

I breathe

as if it means nothing,

no thought or planning

A rhythmic thing

that just happens

 

~in and out…silently~

 

Little notice is taken

until I find your smile,

your beauty, your love

and then I gasp, for in that instant…

I am breathless
