Collaborations

Collaborations

A Poem by Jack...

Collaborations

When two pens come to meet

born of different places,

blending in ink of a free flow design

Curved on the corners

in destinies calling,

fate intercedes in the blink of an eye

Channeling thoughts

over miles of asphalt,

heartstrings are tied in a double bow knot

Digging through memories

once left for nothing,

built on the dreams that we soon had forgot

Ideas are spun

of a dual inspiration,

beauty unfolds like a fresh springtime bloom

Filling these faces

with smiles of mornings,

harmonic whispers now set to the tune

Poetic dreams

in a vibrant perspective,

touching a heart with these words ever sweet

Stanza’d collections

of eternal wishes,

found on the page when two pens come to meet

I have read some amazing collaborations on this and other poetry sites. I have difficulty writing a collab though. It is as though the poem is my baby and if the other poet allows my baby to walk before she is ready, it bothers me! :) It is wonderful when the two pens blend their ink to create a seamless poem though. This is well written with lovely imagery. Lydi**

A very academic piece really that one can read over and over and come out of it differently, well done.

A creative and clever poem Jack. Collaborations can be wonderful if the words blend well.

Ive never done a collaboration so I'm sort of a wallflower at a couples only dance. I guess sometimes two writers are meant to combine their talents...and the resulting artistry is inevitable. Good poem Jack.

Thank you so very much my friend. I appreciate the kind words.
It's wonderful when you find another creative person with whom you can something unique and new for each of you. It is fabulous when two poets' style mesh so well you cannot tell where one ends and the other begins. I think your poem touches on this magic quite well.

It's a magical thing when two writers come together in a collaborative union to create one stellar piece of writing, composed of two minds. I've done this before and it truly is a beautiful experience. For one, no two writers would do this if they didn't feel a connection on some spiritual level. At least, I can say this of poets.

The only thing that would have made this better is if it were truly a collaboration between two poets.
