And another day comes...

And another day comes...

A Poem by Jack...
"

Always on my mind, wish you were in my arms.

"

And another day comes

The sun on my shoulder, I navigate the dust,

fielded dreams and questions form

through tree lines of watchful eyes and branched desires

My heart it begs for but that one word, one thought

and another day comes…

Beige of fresh plowed and harvested journeys,

baled like hay on a circular wasteland,

lost behind barbed wire fences fallen in disrepair…

beauty comes from the most unlikely of places

For my eyes see, like a focused camera lens finds,

destinies I long to travel, footpaths of winding wishes,

straight lines in old dirt, new to this sun now unearthed

left open for discovery in geometric shapes

Yes, what I see, this landscape of hope and future realms

is not what rests, baking in this sun before me,

but what appears when my eyes are closed and my mind wanders

to the beauty that is you

And every day reading you is one brilliant poem after another, I'm lost in your thoughts too. Beautiful as always Jack. Love 'branched desires'....the entire read is charmed.

Thanks so much my friend
There are no fences around the mind and it is free to go as far as it can imagine. This is just lovey.

Anne, always your visits to my poetry make me smile. Yes indeed, the mind has no boundaries.
Thats what is beautiful about the mind...it can wander wherever it pleases...no restraints...enjoyed Jack:)

Thank you so very much Rose. I always appreciate your visits.
If only I didn't understand exactly how this feels. What a beautiful way to describe both your current world, and the world of which you dream ~ footpaths of winding wishes ~ how enchanting! :)

Seems we see through simiar eyes Lily. Thanks so much
Love the tree lines of watchful eyes and branched desires...this is one of my favourites from your catalogue to date, you really the brought imagery to life here and made me feel like I was there myself...I can also detect a lot of soul-searching here and a unequivocal wanderlust...this is as close as it gets to poetic perfection...sterling work my friend.

Always a pleasure :)
We often get lost in our own thoughts and miss all of our surroundings. I know the feeling well, Jack. I enjoyed looking at your graphic and then reading the words it inspired in you. I often see those rolled up bales of hay and think of the farmers and the creatures of the field - many running away from the machines that do the baling. That is, I think of those things when I'm not blinded by my memories of work and home life - which happens a lot more frequently than it should. Great job, Jack, you really got me going with this one.
