It was a lovely sight, but then again, it always is. I love to look upon the moon, and often imagine it as a voyuer, or a navigator leading us home. The connotations you speak of illuminate the night, Jack, for it truly is "this moon that connects us."
"Full in splendor, basking in myth,
the blue moon, distant yet touching the soul
for this night is shared, beyond horizon’d glare"
...so beautiful, Jack!

Different stages, different Jacks. Kind of weird I know, but I can tell you without looking if the moon is full or not. I especially like to shae the mon with others who do not live close to me, this one was no exception. Thank you again my friend.

Thanks so much my sweet friend. You words are always the reason I smile.
I'm so jealous of all you folks that saw the moon...it was foggy and cloudy here which pretty much ruled it out for me haha This is an unspeakably majestic piece...reminds me of Moonlight Drive by The Doors ("Let's swim to the moon honey, let's climb through the tide...") You've evoked an incredible journey with your observations...well done Jack.

Your poem paints the myth into reality, a lovely and lyrical description of nature's phenomenon. The moon brings two souls together, and your poetry unites all who read it...

Wow! I like the moon...it's beauty in its fullness. Last summer here, my books have that theme in connection with the full moon.
I like the last two lines...very powerful.
"Whispers follow beams of ancient descent, quietly finding her
hoping she will hear and know…for it is this moon that connects us"
Great, Jack.

Can I just linger a while here and sigh...and sigh....SIGH. Just breathtakingly lovely Jack.

Love that line, there are so many, I adore the entire work, the moon was poetically kind to you my friend and vice versa!

Yes...I sat outside in my lawn chair last night, and the night before...watching that beautiful moon through the trees in my backyard. And I thought about another, also watching that same moon...so far away, and yet so close to my heart...
Beautiful piece...I love it.

It is the moon that connects us. What a beautiful poetic thought. When we look at the moon we share that moment no matter where we are. I was pleased you included the blue moon as she is making her appearance now. Lovely as always.
Not much to tell about me, I am just Jack, I am a poet, a writer, a musician, a painter, a builder and a dreamer. I live in south Texas but am originally from New Jersey and miss it more and more all .. more..
