Seasons - A collaboration of 5 seasoned poets

Seasons - A collaboration of 5 seasoned poets

A Poem by Jack...
"

This poem is a collaboration of 5 great poets. They are, in order of the verse: Frieda P., Jack..., ShallimarRose, Kublakhan27, and Emma Joy

"

Seasons

The zephyrs sweetly scented air

colors the SPRING in my step

whispering to me on butterfly's breath

posies of poppies tickle my nose

emerald blue grass grows between my toes

my heart blooms in harmonious tune

to the magical brilliance of the season

Sun bleached cantatas of warming desire

heat beckons paradise whims

shade, neath a canopy tempers the fire

breathless as moments begin

hummingbird melodies, firefly sighs

vacation smiles embrace

crystalline beaches and tangerine skies

endless this SUMMER we trace

Sun sets soft on Golden pond

dappled colors falling

chimneys puff in early morn

November breezes calling

orange burns of browns and golds

 in auburn decorations

Summer apples baked to pies

windowsill  scent-sations

flickered hints of candlelight

the Foggy morning mist

whisper sounds of windblown leaves

when all are AUTUMN kissed

A majestic crunch orchestrates
a path of steel toes across
a toasted marshmallow bath
illuminated by domestic rainbows
laying out the way towards
a morphing of the road into
a land of trees decked out
in defiant green poised to write
an overture eliciting a soundtrack
of popcorn-emulating crackles

in a wood stove melting WINTER
with nature's heated breath

The year sings its anthemed harmonics

bowed to the wiles of wind and sun,

its moods wrapped in a florescent palette

of seasonal commands - silent, instinctive,

shadows softly mysterious;

in the passing of bee-hummed sips

from the year's verdant well,

Nature closes its eyes - and sleeps

Each verse bears the signature of its author's voice, yet the voices harmonize so beautifully. I enjoyed each part, but I have to say that this line stood out:

What a wonderful review, thank you so much, Angi.
Amazing how so many different minds can come together and create something coheisive. I also like the way that you used seasons here, because even though each writer was penning a different one, we can see their own unique styles; the way they are different, but indeed quite similar. The final stanza was also a nice "summing up" of the piece. Very enjoyable!
