Wonderful poem, Jack. You always seem to get my imagination working. Honestly, whenever I start doubting in love, I can simply read one of your magnificent poems and I have hope again. :) You give a great imagery in this one, it was a joy reading it. Very well done, dear friend. :)

It seemed like a great song isn't it >>>! liked this write again, your starting was good and i loved that much your ending touched my heart. An excellent work you do always as you did :) Keep writing and posting such kind of poems.
I was a little confused by the "hair like a Sheppard" reference, but for the most part there is an undertone of a lack-lustre sort of feeling in this one. At least that is how I felt its meaning in the early part of the poem. Like there is something available for the taking but, doesn't seem to feel right, or measure up to the standard, so it will exist as an un-attempted possibility. The later half seems more hopeful almost as if there is an enjoyment in vicarious observation of tender beginnings that force one to reminisce. I know I'm probably way off base, but these are the reactions and feelings that I succumbed to while reading this one. Either way, a very emotionally charged piece.

I just let this one come in the rhthym it was written. I got the meter in my head as a melody and just wrote to the melody to see what came out. Not too much serious thought involved with this, but it is fun allowing others to paint their own picture with it. Thanks so much for reading

Such a fun swirl of thoughts...loving and gentle, yet evokes wonderful emotions...
"And I ~ lean on a valley
of tree lines and saucers
with cups filled with coffee
to taste when it’s due
With smiles forever
and words down on paper
with love as my meaning
I write them ~ for you"~ You are truly gifted, my sweet friend!!
Although you wrote this in fun, it made me smile through and through!
Thank you for sharing your light. ~xoxo~:)
