Stand here forever

Stand here forever

A Poem by Jack...
"

Please...

"

Stand here forever

Summertime fancies,

salt water taffy

Arcades that holler,

“winner take all”

Soft sandy beaches

the sunrise now teaches

That beauty can last

when the morning does call

Little known places

of memory traces

With post card adventures

on sun shiny days

Kite strings now hover,

as we dash for cover

For sudden the clouds

that bring on the rain

Under the awning

a new day is dawning

Now give me a kiss

so your lips I may touch

Stand here forever

no matter the weather

Right here in my arms

for I love you so much

Definitely feel the balmy warm evening in this poem, Jack. It reminds me of young love - summers captured in snippets between the college years... Lovely penning!

Good morning to you too.
ωσω! This is superb, Jack! Don't you just love the beach, it just has that little romantic side to it as well. The beach has half and you have the other, ha. You are both romantics at heart.

You have such a beautiful, sweet way with words. I love how these poems just come from you everyday! The flow was amazing, it just rolled of my tongue, now bumps.

Your poem has taken me to the Wildwood Boardwalk, eating that salt water taffy, hearing those arcades, strolling along hand in hand with my love... Very nice, Jack!

Who wants to be departed from his/her loved one? Of course, I wanted to be with my man every moment of the day.

Great job, Jack.
