Happy vs. sad...I am rooting for happy

This just in…

 

Oh woe is me, I’m crying

Dark clouds overhead

Why does nobody like me

Was it something that I said

 

The world is out to get me

Drag me through the mud

Drop me from the balcony

Landing with a thud

 

I want you to feel sorry

Be sad because I am

Oh woe is me, I’m crying

Please won’t you be my friend

 

NEWS FLASH…We interrupt this poem for a breaking news story… There is too much, “Woe is me” on the WC...Conspiracy theorists are having a field day with the rampant expressions of… “everyone is out to get me” or “they are all ganging up on me, nobody loves me” and the bleeding hearts are feeding on … “I didn’t do anything wrong” or “It was all someone else’s fault, I’m the innocent one here”…  

We will keep you updated on any new developments…wait…yes…this just in, a happy poet is writing now, it seems the “woe is me” theme is being pushed to the side and happiness is shining through. Stay tuned right here for more on this exciting story.

 

Oh look at me I’m flying

The sun is shining bright

I’ve found someone who loves

And everything is right

 

The world is but my garden

Each bloom that I do see

Does radiate in beauty

When she is here with me

 

I want you all to smile

Be happy as I am

As you may have noticed, I try to stay with "no comment" with some writes - but this was pretty clever, I have to say. :) I read it again without the News Flash, and it was a great piece, a fun "yin and yang" poem! (That pic is perfect, too!)

Now THAT is an innovative idea. Fantastic!
There's absolutely nothing wrong with cathartically expressing pain im writing if it's done in an artistically sound manner IMO. But yes, there are those that can be self indulged at times.

This is a delightful idea and made me laugh.
