This just in...

This just in...

A Poem by Jack...
"

Happy vs. sad...I am rooting for happy

"

This just in…

Oh woe is me, I’m crying

Dark clouds overhead

Why does nobody like me

Was it something that I said

The world is out to get me

Drag me through the mud

Drop me from the balcony

Landing with a thud

I want you to feel sorry

Be sad because I am

Oh woe is me, I’m crying

Please won’t you be my friend

NEWS FLASHWe interrupt this poem for a breaking news story… There is too much, “Woe is me” on the WC...Conspiracy theorists are having a field day with the rampant expressions of… “everyone is out to get me” or “they are all ganging up on me, nobody loves me” and the bleeding hearts are feeding on … “I didn’t do anything wrong” or “It was all someone else’s fault, I’m the innocent one here”…

We will keep you updated on any new developments…wait…yes…this just in, a happy poet is writing now, it seems the “woe is me” theme is being pushed to the side and happiness is shining through. Stay tuned right here for more on this exciting story.

Oh look at me I’m flying

The sun is shining bright

I’ve found someone who loves

And everything is right

The world is but my garden

Each bloom that I do see

Does radiate in beauty

When she is here with me

I want you all to smile

Be happy as I am

Oh look at me I’m flying

I love you all my friends

Thanks so much Anne. I think you might remember the era I wrote this in.
Creative indeed, Jack. You always manage to shine a light on things with microscopic distinction.

You know, I've never been one to feel sorry for myself...probably the "only child" syndrome. I learned to entertain myself, play alone, etc. It takes more effort to be sad or upset than it does to just smile and slosh through the mire. That is not to say I don't have bad days, but when the bad days come around, I either write them or I just step out of myself for a bit and look at things from a different perspective. This is a different perspective.

Thank you sir.
Very cute. I like the sarcasm. The little news flash interruption was the perfect way to offset the moods.

Very funny and satirical Jack. I like the interruption to offset the change in mood.

Thanks, the problem is it didn't change my mood. I still find I am writing some dark pieces.

Hahahaha, very funny Jack. :D You're right, there are too much writers here whining about their own destiny, most of them complaining on rather ridiculous matters. I do realize I can be sometimes one of them, but at least I can admit to being pathetic from time to time. We really should try to focus on the better things in our lives, things that make us happy, that make us actually get up in the morning; instead of just complaining about the problems. Everyone has problems. Everyone feels alone at some point. But we shouldn't let that lead our lives. Excellent work, Jack :)

well done indeed....writers are a sensitive lot ...passion is our fever, without it we could not put pen to paper or fingers to keys

Most welcomed.
Hahaha, this made me laugh, Jack. Loved the commentary of what's happening on the cafe!

Your imagery was great and I loved the structure and flow.

Each bloom that I do see

Does radiate in beauty

When she is here with me"

Once again you've out done yourself.
