Caught in the motion of feathery mist

Blankets of moisture to play

Left all alone as my thoughts do insist

Singing your praises today

 

Long is the journey I found in this dream

Careful the steps I may stroll

Playfully laughing at all it does mean

Love that I just can’t control

 

I turn on the wisdom of feelings sincere

My heart longs forever this treat

Leaping the hurdles that blend in so clear

Silently skipping a beat

 

Capturing visions to keep evermore

Portraits of soft painted smiles

Brush stroked affection on canvas to pour

Looking beyond every mile

 

What shall become of the light on the hill

Flickering candles so bright

Honesty glows as it castings do fill

Now as this day turns to night

 

Butterfly wings cause a movement of air

Ripples to rest on the breeze

Waiting right here as I know you are there

Oh won’t you please come to me

 

Memories live as each day it does pass

Love is the key to endure

Hearts ever beating so long in the past

Craving what lies here in store

 

Under the shade of the sycamore tree

Branches now reach for the view

Come take a moment and lie here with me

Finding a love ever true

such an exquisite picture of love. For all my angst - I truly believe that there is a type of love - closest to its true design that is beautiful - giving in nature - gentle and breathes life. It is extremely rare that I pen that love - but I know it exists - even in my own life. It is just a bit silent these days. This is a poem to bask in, Jack.
