I can still see the sunriseA Poem by Jack...Love provides the light
I can still see the sunrise The clouds they have been forming in the skies above my head Massive plumes of charcoal gray create a sky of dread The winds of constant blowing find their speed it does increase As leaves upon the sycamore now bring on their release Tiny drops of moisture from the skies begins to fall Misty moments laughing as the storms now lash their call Puddles on the arid earth do swell beneath my feet If only spring would send her love and bring me some relief Lightening bolts and thunder come a knocking at my door Streams now flow the sidewalks as they never have before Glistening the pavement as I head off down the road Challenging the weather as it brings its heavy load Windshield wipers dance about the glass to keep it clear Streaks of every wanting in the wishes you are near Splashing sings the rhythm of my tires passing by Just to hear the tear drops that heavens seem to cry A tiny ship at sea I feel, so lost and all alone Then marvel at the drenching rain that nature she has shown When in my mind now shifting as if waves have set it right I dream about your beauty as my eyes they see the light For in my beating heart there lies a fire’s raging flame As miracles begin to show each time I speak your name And here amongst the torrent of the waters from the skies I find that when it’s raining I can still see the sunrise There, on the horizon like a beacon from below A reddish amber morning light again begins to show Now how can this be happening with skies so very dark It’s now I come to realize the light comes from your heart For when in love the world may rain for oh so many days But still the perfect sunrise seems to break out through the haze And as I drive through thunderstorms my eyes still see the view Of everything you bring to me because our love is true © 2013 Jack...Author's Note
