If jealousy flies

Love is wrong

If controlled by the eye

Love is pointless

When taken apart

Love is hollow

If not from the heart

Love is empty

If sad is required

Love is hopeless

If it’s uninspired

Love is useless

If it is not blind

Love is vacant

If words are unkind

 

Love is good

If it stands tall

Love is perfect

Defects and all

Love is wonderful

When it’s returned

Love is amazing

When it is earned

Love is magnificent

When it is fun

Love is superb

When first begun

Love is glorious

When it is true

Love is the answer

When it is you

Yes that is a stellar line. and also love is vacant if words are unkind. That really strikes me as a strong line. Just because writers are often wordsmiths on paper - they don't always transition into interacting face to face and using the right words at the right time for the right reason. In fact maybe we are a bit more cutting? (Not you, - not any one in particular, I was thinking about me I guess) A kind word can make a person's spirit bloom. And this poem is full of kind words - a lovely write, Jack!
