Love is...

Love is...

A Poem by Jack...
"

What is love? Read below

"

Love is

Love is meaningless

If jealousy flies

Love is wrong

If controlled by the eye

Love is pointless

When taken apart

Love is hollow

If not from the heart

Love is empty

If sad is required

Love is hopeless

If it’s uninspired

Love is useless

If it is not blind

Love is vacant

If words are unkind

Love is good

If it stands tall

Love is perfect

Defects and all

Love is wonderful

When it’s returned

Love is amazing

When it is earned

Love is magnificent

When it is fun

Love is superb

When first begun

Love is glorious

When it is true

Love is the answer

When it is you

words used were light and simple, but they brought heavy, overflowing emotions. the ending's predictable, but not the way it's ended. i'll go over your other works and i know i'll enjoy reading them, too. thank you.

You're welcome. :)
I love any and all Love is poems. This was my favorite comic strip growing up by Kim Caselli. Yours gave the ying and yang of it. Almost a how to of which side of line to on remain if you want love.

Thank you so much Holly. Your friendship is my poetry
Awww, the romantic Jack is back, AKA Jackromantic, haha- remember? Ha. I think love can be a simple thing but then again it can be tricky. I mean, you have to put all your trust into the person and as I'm sure we all know; we get let down a lot. A relationship that is meant to survive is based on trust as well as love, love is important but for me the key to any relationship is trust. Well done, Jack. I loved it.

Respect and trust. (:

Pleasure.
I have read this. I have understood it and still I can't define love. That is what love is! Nice read :)

Thanks so much.
i like how you show the complications of love in the negative and the positive...how it begins with a sort of lament, builds up with what you find good about it, and end with the answer.
Wonderful!

Thanks Ken.
I am a little tired at the moment and got lost in your lines and was reading them staggered and finding some interesting meaning out of sync. Then I reread it and found it to be artistically appropriate for someone who has encountered a great love, perhaps many, as you have and lost it as well. Love is the answer my friend. Thanks for such a fine description too.
