The Last RoseA Poem by Jack...Even when the garden is wintered over, your beauty is still all I see
The Last Rose In the garden of my dreams Fluid as the sweet air flows Springtime fragrance fills my scene On the wind, with brilliant glow As my eyes do witness free Beauty forms of wishes true Blooms of colored tapestries Loveliness I find in you Petals cling upon the stem Throughout summer’s sunny cheer Loveliness is soon to end Blooms will slowly disappear Autumn tends my garden fair Longing for their wanted sleep Till the time that we can share Precious beauty we so reap One remains of perfect sight Softness lends its fertile grow In my eyes does shine a light Beauty that I’ve come to know Even in the winter’s chill Perfect petals stand to see Love within my heart does fill One last rose, you are to me © 2013 Jack...Author's Note
