Pathways lead,

I follow with my eyes closed

Sleek and slender the wings

of painted treetop songs

counted in measures

of bliss

 

Sunsets adrift,

tangerine lyrics roll the horizon

as silent emotions endlessly call

in echoes of promise,

lingering in butterfly

dreams

 

Destinations wait,

distances of eastward thought

where cities come to meet,

and skylines form your melody,

in choruses of acapella

brush strokes

 

Harmonies abound,

played of satin stringed desires

ballads float on silhouettes, listen

For all of this is my heart

singing sweetly…

to you

---My favorite stanza...sheer perfection in my eyes. I find the beauty in this as a pearl within an oyster; unexpected and shockingly glorious.

The last lines, they also got to me. Singing to you softly is such a beautiful image; it conjours up the ideas of healing and rebirth and the pleasentries that make like worth living.
