Breathless, endearing, unending desire

Breathless, endearing, unending desire

A Poem by Jack...
"

Passionate love...always

"

Breathless, endearing, unending desire

Breathless, endearing, unending desire

Built on this foundation true

Providing all that your heart may require

Sending my love up to you

Pastels so vivid my mind seems to dance

Softly aglow on your face

Reaching for hope in a shade of romance

Lost and alone in this place

Smile so that I may see you

Laugh for I so long to hear

Whisper to me that our love is so true

Relieve my every fear

Catch me I think I am falling

Deeply within your sweet heart

Hold me, my love it is calling

That never the two of us part

Truly I sing of your praises my love

Pedestals beneath your feet

Lifting so that you remain up above

Making my world so complete

Sunlight, alone seems to capture your sheen

Warm as the day comes to be

Places now sit at the edge of my dreams

Won’t you please come here with me

Take me, for I am your only

Feel me, I long for you touch

Fill in my soul ever lonely

You I have needed so much

Ask and I’ll answer you loudly

If love it can last evermore

Listen, I say it so proudly

You are the one I adore

Sitting in awe of affectionate power

Cool is the feel on my skin

Shelter does come from a passing day shower

Since you have let me come in

Now till the day that my life does expire

I will forever love you

Breathless, endearing, unending desire

Built on this foundation true

Wow... is it warm in here? ;) makes me smile. You give men that fear to express their emotions, a voice. You give women hope that there are actually men out there that feel beyond the macho facade. Deep love is possible, unfortunately - I do see around me that it is quite rare. When we have it... such a blessing!
Side note: as one that has been put on a pedestal. Boy does it suck when they decide you don't belong there anymore. I always prefer my feet to be well grounded... and barefoot! :)

The title is captivating and promises much. It does not disappoint. This poem is full of "Breathless, endearing, unending desire."

Truly I sing of your praises my love
Pedestals beneath your feet

Making my world so complete

I appreciate the use of "pedestals." The use of her praises and you beneath her feet suggests the love captured you both.

Since you have let me come in
Now till the day that my life does expire
I will forever love you

For me that is exactly what it is like. It is not easy for me to let someone in, but when I do it is forever. My heart always remembers.

Again, a beautifully penned piece that makes me almost jealous of those who get to experience this. Your imagery and word choice are fantastic, as is the almost lyrical phrasing that you are so good at creating. I shall allow this one to sit with me for a while... Loved it.

Thank you so much, you overwhelm me with your kind words.
Almost reads like lyrics.. such fluent flow and passionate words. Makes the reader melt.
The 2nd stanza just shows the need, the want the desire to acquire that love again.
I've read a lot of poems about crushes and hurt and emotions but this is one of the only love poems that speaks volumes of passion, that eternal bond that is love, the mutual feeling, friendship and desire to be someones everything. You've summed it up so well in this piece. I'm a fan of your writing after reading this and it's quiet embarrassing as this is the first piece I've read by you and I've been here for months. What was I thinking, clearly I wasn't!
