I pick a Yellow Daffodil

I pick a Yellow Daffodil

A Poem by Jack...
"

Love in the springtime

"

I Pick a Yellow Daffodil

by jack

O’ precious stars of heavens light

So loving is thy glow

With moon aloft a golden sight

Across the fields does show

The days of wandering alone

Will soon come to an end

Beneath the glistening that’s shown

My very heart I send

Of natures gracious majesty

My tired eyes do see

The beauty that is brought this day

To stand in front of me

A portrait of a love that’s real

In painted colored lines

No longer can my heart conceal

The truth that you are mine

Along a grassy pathway walk

I breathe the morning air

Of wonders sent to fill my mind

For always you are there

I pick a yellow daffodil

And hold it to the sky

For all to see my love for you

And those who wonder why

I say these words in honest truth

So deeply from inside

This smile you see is ample proof

No longer can it hide

So shout it through the valley green

Beneath the stars above

Forever let them shine on you

The precious girl I love

The swooning song of springtime and romance. How you post so many wonderfully written love poems day after day blows me away. I am never THAT consistently inspired (hardly inspired to write at all lately)... Or upbeat - and I'm a positive person!
Excellent write

Thanks so much Sera. I suppose I am just a dreamer...and my favorite subject to dream about is love
Spring and love go hand in hand. The rebirth of the earth and of the heart sing together in this piece.

Heavenly, this one seems to speak to someone who's passed on or a lost love, but the feelings are still fresh & vivid. Beautiful springtime poem Jack, a bit bittersweet, still lovely nonetheless...

I am smiling reading this wonderful poem Mr. Jack, the reason why aside from this is beautiful and stunning write, I can relate to this. I walked the pathway everyday heading to my office and all the time I passed by the beautiful yellow daffodil. I am amazed for this flowers strenght. That's why I astound having you write about this flower. Excellent write, love it. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Marc, I am glad you could relate to this
Gorgeous. You have a true affinity for writing from the deepest regions of the heart. Word choice is simple, yet elegant, and your imagery is delightful. I love the perfect combination of nature and love, both are shown such an admirable devotion to the aesthetics. Daffodils also sit high on my list of favorite flowers. :) Great work, so sweet and visual.

What is this Jack. Shakespeare is reborn all over again. You are doing a marvelous job bringing back the classics...:)
