I pick a Yellow DaffodilA Poem by Jack...Love in the springtimeI Pick a Yellow Daffodil by jack O’ precious stars of heavens light So loving is thy glow With moon aloft a golden sight Across the fields does show The days of wandering alone Will soon come to an end Beneath the glistening that’s shown My very heart I send Of natures gracious majesty My tired eyes do see The beauty that is brought this day To stand in front of me A portrait of a love that’s real In painted colored lines No longer can my heart conceal The truth that you are mine Along a grassy pathway walk I breathe the morning air Of wonders sent to fill my mind For always you are there I pick a yellow daffodil And hold it to the sky For all to see my love for you And those who wonder why I say these words in honest truth So deeply from inside This smile you see is ample proof No longer can it hide So shout it through the valley green Beneath the stars above Forever let them shine on you The precious girl I love © 2013 Jack...Author's Note
