On the Wings of DestinyA Poem by Jack...Destined love, the magic of lifeOn the Wings of Destiny by jack On the wings of destiny I ride o’er softly whispered air Knowing pure horizon’s light shall find the future standing there Waiting so with open arms of hope, I plead to reel me in Finding proof as meant to be our love once more it did begin Staid of true integrity, my heart doth call thy precious name Painted on the heavenscape among the amber burning flame Pristine lie the shadows in an valley born of glowing stone Beauty shares thy perfect form the purest I hath ever known My eyes they well of appetite so needed is thy precious face Cornered by the memories as now I take my common place Tiny dove adorn thy crown O’ brow of halo’s shine doth wake An angel stands before mine heart, a hand I reach so far to take Silken as a summer’s rain doth pour upon my waiting palm Senseless vulnerability agape among the evening calm Pleasure seeps of every pore; thy love hath set my heart a’ free For this my time hath brought me to, the very man I’m meant to be Days of long ago have passed as withered fruit upon the stage Meanings of so many years across the folded chapter’s page Stories short to keep in stride, a truth shall come to bear as free Emptiness defines the days thy love stood very far from me Obstacles of studded walls with wire strewn atop their crest Built by good intentions, flowing rivers heading east and west Locks of rusted metals form a chain that spans the pathway wood Tense does bring a journey as the sweat doth pour of greater good Flowers line the meadows play, to reach, so far they lie in still Blooms, the colors catch the eye; I gasp as then forever will Whence the time doth find its fame the two will be as one again Staring down the faceless fears in knowing that our love shall win Destiny, my life does greet, for in the after glow of light As calm foresees the future, cast of vibrant shades of pastel white Hearts a’ fire burn their flame to warm the space we quiet lie For now the evening whistles of the passing night of which we fly Take to flight thy early storm for as the sun does break the chain I find that avenues of hope forever shall begin the same With one step, the direction known, to reap the harvest of your keep Where, found beneath my tattered gown, thy beauty it does wander deep Silhouettes of what to come, upon a golden tapestry Are woven, intertwined the threads, in patterns formed of only thee I ride these wings of destiny upon the whispered air so fine For as I head towards the east, is written that thy love be mine © 2013 Jack...Author's Note
