You warm my heart with your kind words. Thank you ever so much.
I always feel as though I learn something when I read your writing; it inspires me to be better. Our styles are diametrically opposed, but I still pull ideas and insights from your work that help me with my own. You have such a strong, solid style; I am often in awe of your skill. This piece is no exception. The imagery here is fabulous, and not just in a "fluffy" sort of way; you choose your words wisely. Well done.

"Although it's a long winter but even the spring won't skip it's turn." Sometimes life becomes so hard that it just comes to a halt and we're trapped in the never ending winter. But there is light at the end of every dark road. What's bad is that life is unstable. I just wish life was more stable but then God knows the best for all of us.
Your use of symbolism in this is exceptional. Each memory is written with an attractive and vivid sense of longing, under-toned by a yearning that aches with somber familiarity...
"Wishing is so fruitless
As our dreams are cast
Time does light the moment
Shadows of the sun"-- --Loved the metaphors here.
I thought your comparison of love to a pillar was also very reachable and awe-inspiring. With a creative voice all your own, you've taken an almost inevitable experience of life and made it breathe in a way that touches my heart... poignant and lovely, this delicate picture is a gem of imagery and soulful impression. The ending is poetic perfection, and resonates with a lingering hum of finality that is so befitting of lost love.
Forever winter lingers
Here inside my heart
Springtime laughs at me indeed
Never more to start
Glad you shared this, it's exquisite.

You're so welcome, Jack. :) It's a beautiful poem, I felt it deserved a thoughtful review.
A winter of bitter parting...in a white, frozen and hostile terrain...
I can feel the pain...And the desperate yearning for that magic to happen again...
A deep sadness does remain in these situations. I can relate in a way... I won't write of it anymore as some people get confused on my meaning. Loss is hard with lovers, family, or with friends. A deep sadness lingers, that never goes away. Hearts that can hold so much love, also can carry the tremendous pain of loss. It weighs heavily, and is not so easily dispelled, as many with good intentions often say can be done.
A heartfelt write.
Oozing sadness and pain on the page as I drink in the feeling of the winter of a relationship deeply felt and lived. So aptly written in an ink straight from your soul. Very lovely and heart felt poem which will hold its place in memories vault. Your way with words draw me in and has me feeling with the poem. Powerfully laid out...

Thank you so much Veronica. I do appreciate your kind words and I appreciate you
Wow Jack.. when I first began reading I thought this was literally about winter hanging on this year.. Many had snow on Easter.. that is almost unheard of.. As I continued to read I found metaphor after metaphor and the battered heart beside the road.....
A beautifully sad poem.... Perhaps Spring will come again.. ♥
