BlessingsA Poem by Jack...Every where we look we are blessed by beautyBlessings by jack Blessings come in many shapes to tantalize the eye Like the seed of dandelion on wind comes floating by Jasmine on the railing’d porch inhaling of its scent Mornings laced with glistened dew of moments that are spent Flowing blades of amber grain we see upon the field As if waving happily the dance their leaves do yield Wildflowers paint the world in bannered shining sight Tiny tulips poke their heads in search of springtime light Butterflies now tinted in the hues of rainbow’d beam Tapestries of wonder in our eyes that we have seen Twilight shadows cast so long as if to wander by Wisps of light that make their way beyond the branches high Lightening before thunder as we wade into the storm A favorite woolen jacket that we don to keep us warm The Sunday morning paper and a piece of toast with tea Lounging in the sunlight that we find outside for free The music of a songbird on our window sill does sing Fireflies on midnight skies illumined on the wing Footprints on a snowy lawn, the patterns they do share A cooling breeze in summer that does play about your hair Finding that a smile does appear upon a friend Wondrous words of rhyming verse a loved one they do send Blessings come in many shapes, enhancing every view Like the love I feel inside each time I look at you © 2013 Jack...Author's Note
