The Moon and Venus o'er the ShoreA Poem by Jack...Summer magicThe Moon and Venus over the Shore Pastel By Stan Sperlak The Moon and Venus o’er the Shore by jack O’ the spectacle that calls to me So beautiful the heavens shine Magic plays this summer eve Suspended astral scenes align Rising as a festive banner Balanced perfect on the rim Nature’s whimsical demeanor Claims the dark blue sky again Adrift above the flaming waters Horizons burn as days do end Ignited by a mystic visit Welcoming thy visions send The dunes they stand in grand ovation In shadows deep above the sand The stage is set o’er violet beaches Performing at the night’s command In silhouette of simple questions Soothing to my jaded soul Invigorating in their wisdom A mind can surely loose control The sky was burnished sapphire blue A faded light still touches high The Moon and Venus o’er the shore Vibrant images greet the eye As if the sense surreal is spoken Through words that only few can hear When two celestial stars of wisdom In the summer’s night appear The healing of sensations pure A’ wash upon my weary mind Touching to my inner core The multitude of passing time Fresh and free this feeling plies Breathing deeply of the truth In turn my search of summer skies Found beauty does supply the proof © 2013 Jack...Author's Note
