For everyday does start anew

New day, constant love

 

For every day does start anew

by jack

 

 

A mist, this morning it does breathe

So heavy, wind will whip

Between our outstretched fingers weave

As slowly time does slip

 

The sky is dark when this I write

Of clouded shouldered mass

Before my eyes still stands as night

Though surely this will pass

 

For very soon the sun will rise

As daytime comes to be

When colors will adorn the skies

For in our hearts to see

 

Another day shall call our name

This life of which we live

At times it seems it’s just the same

For all that it may give

 

I count as constant hours fill

Which always seem to go

Of sunny days and winter’s chill

There’s something you should know

 

Regardless of the skies above

And whether they are blue

Each day I find inside it grows

This love I feel for you

 

So gaze into the heavens high

Take in their wondrous style

And as each moment passes by

Please find the time to smile

 

For everyday does start anew

Come evening you will see

These loving words I send to you

Will last eternally

Perfect flow to this one...and I'm not even a huge fan of the "rhyme". Still, I got lost in these words and your imagery, and it was a needed vacation. I found solace in the phrasing like "So gaze into the heavens high" and "of clouded shouldered mass". Beautifully done, and such a lovely ode to love.
