I believe hard not to repeat some words. I have study poetry in college and read all the master of poetry that I could. I tell the young people. Read the old timers like William Cowper, Richard Crashaw , Alexander Pope and John Milton. There are many other. They were the first word-men who used words and thoughts to open doors to thoughts and wonder. I don't get too excited when someone borrow a line or two from me. We learn from each other. To steal a complete poem is very wrong. I believe a writer's goal is to motivate another to think and write. A excellent poem. Few people have style that are hard to copy. I would love to be able to write like Dante and describe like George martin. Thank you.

Thanks so much for your kind review and thoughts. They are appreciated
I surely hope no one would steal. I know it happens, though. I enjoyed the meter which is uniform. The message is clear and you added just right amount of humor to keep it very entertaining.
I am new to writerscafe and I am just me. Clearly something is happening or has happened and it sounds unpleasant. If anyone steals my words I will go crazy. I had no idea it was an issue on here. I liked the poem, nice rhyming and dark humor, although I realize it has a purpose ! I hope there's a reporting process? I will certainly be vigilant and thanks for the heads-up :)
Hey, I have heard of this but i haven't really seen it, that I know. I've seen comments that say that work is stolen but these are discarded by the poster as machines/robots, which is kind of convincing given the comment is identical to other accusatory comments. How do you know when an author has stolen?
Also, very well penned. There's a special place in hell for plagiarists, and you do about as well to describe the pain they ought to endure as Satan could hope to provide.

I took a hiatus from this site and ave been casually snacking on a smorgasbord of R.Rs since I returned. Still, I fun read, and good to know for future reference.
Oh I am going to steal this, covet it for months and then release it as my own. Seriously I'm not but I understand, what you write of. There is paying homage, as an influence to ones own writing and then there is blatent disregard for ownership. Unfortunatly, you post, you run the risk.
I hear this is going on a lot but, yet I've never seen of it here. Although, I have had my native American stolen on the internet and posted on other sites under an unknown author. This is a funny poem.

You're welcome so much! And, ha...look who you're telling xD
head nod. No wait. Deep bow to you. In six years I've seen catastrophic crashes, stalkers, trolls, wannabes, pornems, emoetry and all manner of ingrates at the cafe. I've gotten 40 reviews on blogcrap and nothing on posts written with sweat and blood. I don't know who this is specifically - but I kinda wish I did so I could go punch him/her/it in the eye. or lower. I do mimic at times but when I do - I either give homage to the specific writer or I put a disclaimer of some sort on the piece. I did a Longfellow piece on here called "The maid of the Hesperus" and linked the original poem, but basically I am too old, too limited in my time and too shallow to create a "persona" you know? My pic here is me from 2011 (I should update it.) and my name really is TL Boehm. I really enjoyed this piece. It is exactly how I feel when I see idiocy rise up here.
