I did something right

I did something right

A Poem by Jack...
"

As I witness the birth of my first grand child

"

I did something right

By jack

If by chance you see me smile

Now beaming all a’ glow

Staring at a miracle

I just want you to know

That as my eyes are tearing

There’s no need for concern

They only show my happiness

Of lessons I have learned

I look upon these faces

Such joy to greet my eyes

And lucky is a word I use

When now I realize

For all the times I’ve worried

Those nights of little sleep

Thoughts my mind did cultivate

This joy is what I reap

Of every dream I’ve harbored

And everything I see

This night you bring a miracle

And start a family

I wrap my arms around you

And hold you oh so tight

For finally now my eyes can see

That I did something right
