I did something right

I did something right

A Poem by Jack...
"

As I witness the birth of my first grand child

"

I did something right

By jack

If by chance you see me smile

Now beaming all a’ glow

Staring at a miracle

I just want you to know

That as my eyes are tearing

There’s no need for concern

They only show my happiness

Of lessons I have learned

I look upon these faces

Such joy to greet my eyes

And lucky is a word I use

When now I realize

For all the times I’ve worried

Those nights of little sleep

Thoughts my mind did cultivate

This joy is what I reap

Of every dream I’ve harbored

And everything I see

This night you bring a miracle

And start a family

I wrap my arms around you

And hold you oh so tight

For finally now my eyes can see

That I did something right

This is a beautiful way to tell someone how much you love them and how happy you are about the birth of your grandchild.

Thank you so much
You'll have to learn to change diapers again. Good luck with the baby. P.S You seriously know how to convey your feelings onto paper. :)

Oh, those things...I wondered what they were. :)>
My niece, Cora Ruth Bayne was born on March 9th. I tried to put in a picture of her, but I can't.

Thank you so much for your kind words.
Congratulations, Jack! What a beautiful family you have. Your poem brought a big smile. First grandson, that is a grand accomplishment. I'm sure he is going to adore his Grandpapa!
Lovely poem. I'm sure you've done many things "right" in life, and there are more to follow. Enjoy your new addition to the family! You have a great heart and he will notice that, too.

This is just beautiful. It is the beautiful love of a father for his daughter, a grandpa for his grandson, and this beautiful poem reflects that beautiful love.

Beautiful.
