I see the colorsA Poem by Jack...The colors of love
I see the colors By jack Through shades of mostly amber tint I gaze upon the pastures pure The sunshine on the waters glint A crashing wave on silken shore Skies of blue in endless flow Butterflies on painted wing Mountain tops a’ white with snow Daffodils that bloom in spring A tiny brook on stones a’ play Majestic oaks of new found leaves Grasses in the fields to sway Precious air for all to breathe For this is now my life you see Filled with nature’s wondrous views A never ending tapestry Of multi-colored rainbow hues Each morning when the sun does rise I smile as the world does bring Beauty there before my eyes As life is such a blessed thing Not long ago it seemed so grey Void of color’s brilliant shine Narrow as an alleyway Lost along a moment’s time Seconds ticked, the days did yawn Silhouettes against the cold Misty skies of dreary slept All around the sided fold Still I managed to progress Down the incline, back again Hoping that some light would shine Dreaming that I’d find it when Then the day did round the corner Like a waving flag displayed I saw you and it was over Sunshine cleared my rainy day As if a veil somehow was lifted Rainbows seemed to dot the sky Smiles quickly found my features Erasing every tear I cried Now everywhere I see the colors Just as they have always been Since my heart has be re-opened And your love has come within © 2013 Jack...Author's Note
