O’er echoes of this destined nightA Poem by Jack...A lonely lover stands on a beach wishing
O’er echoes of this destined night To thee, my sweet and tender jewel, oh all that I shall ever need Within my heart a calling finds the windswept dreams of open sea Of every tide to wash ashore as steady in a fluent pace I stand, my footprints in the sand of every move that I may make To feel the rush of silent wind a’ gusting round my every pore So calm my soul doth call to thee to be my true and every more For I shall be but half a man without your wondrous sequined touch A’ glisten on a moon beam dance I’ve come to find I want so much I listen as the crested waves do fall before my weary eyes O’er endless the horizon cuts a path across these charcoal skies To pray, my hand now cups this love, so offered, you do send my way Now held so high before this night a’ glowing of this grand display I bear my soul to only thee, in promises I hold so true An open book of turning page eternal finds my desperate view Until the light of morning comes to rise in vibrant colors bright I stand before, and shout your name o’er echoes of this destined night © 2013 Jack...Author's Note
