Day's EndA Poem by Jack...Inspired by the art of Stan Sperlak
Day’s End Pastel by Stan Sperlak Day’s End Inspired by the art of Stan Sperlak by jack Behold the costume colored sky Of Mardi Gras’ and loud good-byes Where dusk invites the ribbons torn As evening once again is born Strokes of bold and faithful lines Loosely based on borrowed times Paint the scene of dark refresh Kneeling to the gracefulness The faintest hint of red divides Distances so gathered wide Featuring a vast expanse The setting sun, the pure romance A golden coin in balanced hue The pastel canopy of blue When ripples bring the sad demise A long day’s end upon the skies In violet and amber light Lone solitude precedes the glow The ending day provides the show To the furthest point at sea Quiet rest now peacefully Balanced on its vibrant stand Tapestries in showered fan Clean of waste, serenely pure A subtle wake it does endure Above rose petal waves suspend Finale of a long day’s end © 2013 Jack...Author's Note
