Open your eyes, you'll be surprised at what you see

Life surprises

Life does surprise us, now and again

Lost in the darkness, wondering when

Hiding from life that you live everyday

Turning your eyes and then looking away

 

Seeing a light before feeling its heat

Taking the path that's ignoring defeat

Placing your order while standing in line

Waiting the moments and counting the time

 

Wishing on pennies now tossed in the stream

Following instincts that lead to your dream

Taking your chances and pushing right through

Keeping your focus in spite of the view

 

Standing for something in which you believe

Wearing your heart on the face of your sleeve

Speaking in truths that you've come to defend

Life does surprise us, now and again

Well,no. It's just been a rotten day (you know this, since you live in S.A.) M brakes are working badly, and Firestone will have to straighten that out. A letter I mailed last week came back to me; I'll have to remail it. But it will all get taken care of.
