Walking with me

Walking with me

A Poem by Jack...
"

Finding love walking beside you

"

Walking with me

By Jack Ivey

Touched by a rain drop that falls from the sky

Calling on nature to be

Sadness ensues in the blink of an eye

Something is following me

Lost in a valley with hills all a’ flow

Turning my body around

Dreaming of life that I someday will know

Silently waiting the sound

Cascading shadows of cool on the day

Shelter I come to adore

Magical moments so vast in display

Finding what’s waiting in store

Taking a path that shall bend on the turn

Corners collect in my smile

Hearing the footsteps I’ve come now to yearn

Tossing my cares in a pile

Since I have cried and the sun comes to shine

Drying my tears when they fall

Leaving the fortress to fade off with time

Counting each stone in the wall

Desperately seeking my dreams to come true

Off in the promises shown

Stealing a look and then finding it’s you

If I had only just known

Here all along you have waited my hand

Caught in the simplest touch

Fingers entwined are a part of the plan

Shouting I missed this so much

Now as I walk I have love by my side

Beauty in forms now to be

Facing the sun as I no longer hide

Since you are walking with me

It's nice to know that people still believe in candy canes and marshmellows.. :)

I tip my hat to you and bow all in the same breath. This is incredibly lovely, and I'm so envious of your skill to rhyme without making it sound staged or corny. Amazing! It flows from one stanza to the next in it's adorning message. Nice one Jack...I thoroughly enjoyed this read.
