Snow like a whisper

Snow like a whisper

A Poem by Jack...
"

Snow, falling like feathers of love

"

Snow like a Whisper

Snow like a whisper does fall from the sky

Silently finding its way

Morning does come in the blink of an eye

Nature to beckon the day

White fills the quiet with hope of a smile

Melodies that you might hear

Blanketing softy in porcelain style

A glow born of sun does appear

Tranquil endeavors to quell every whim

Lie on the lawn in repose

Forgotten meanings that now shall begin

Found each occasion it snows

Gentle its echo as we find retreat

Here by the warmth of the fire

No use descending on snow covered streets

Only our love is required

Unruffled seasons of splendor do shine

Muted the colors they bear

Normal these visions of our wintertime

Life without worry or care

Slower the pace of this plaid flannel world

Hectic the days of ago

Restful this morning to us has unfurled

Taking each step a bit slow

Nothing so urgent that now can not wait

Serenity finds to take hold

The heat of the fire the chill to abate

So warm inside when it’s cold

Pearlescent shimmering visions this day

Resting here safe in your love

Oh but to spend my life living this way

Bring forth the snow from above

I love it, makes the snow even sound cozy, from the inside looking out. Makes me want to cuddle up to somebody. Anybody know where I can find me a big gentle lumberyard, tool driving man lol. You make everything sound so romantic Jack. I'm starting to feel amorous.

(Oops you know that could be taken several different ways. The clean version please, this is not an alliteration). :)

Snow falls as a whisper as voices fall as a whimper. Resting safely in love, in its warm embrace will make the season more magical...A great wintry write...:).........

Your most welcome, thanks hun :) xx
Snow looks so beautiful...in postcards.
But I grew up where winter is really serious...and, Hun, I do NOT miss it, not even one snowflake's worse.

But your poem does warm my heart...

But snow is so c-c-c-c-c-old....and I do have my little above ground pool to play mermaid in...
I'm not a winter person per se, I love when the snow first starts to fall, it's dreamy, but afterwards it's just a mess. Your gorgeous words put me in a different serene mindset even though I'm freezing my tushy off, this warms the heart Jack.

Oh I see, you are welcome :)
I get a lot of quizzical looks from people when I tell them that Winter is my favourite season, but you've crystallized my seasonal logic here Jack. There is an palpable irony in the quaintness of a night by the fire while a blizzard howls outside. I'm fortunate enough to have access to a fireplace when I visit my mother and one of two things (or both on a good night) happen: I tap into a meditative state when I become hypnotized by the swirling flames and crackling wood, or the notebook comes out and the pen takes on a life of its own. It's a rare setting in which I don't have to force words. Your words are hypnotic here as well, as they so often are. There's a wispy, hypnotic feel to your rhyme and rhythm. A soft and sensuous ode to those celestial Winter nights. Well done my friend.
