Hallucinations
By Jack Ivey
Is it there or is it not
Before my eyes a deluge of inner thoughts converge
Broadcast on an open plain
For lack of words to feign its impossible meaning
Does it dance or does it walk
Upon a stair cased flowered veil to deceive
Brilliant the light does mimic
In effervescent golden silhouettes
Will it scream or will it sing
Only time will fill the feast with ample solutions
Listen close as mornings find us
Sleeping on empty cartons of a desperate phrase
Does it live or does it die
Within my mind the scattered illusions come to bear
Of endings soon to find their path
In freedoms born of cascade truths on darkened city streets
