SolitudeA Poem by Jack...Early morning
Solitude By Jack Ivey Windswept treetops sing to me of drenching moonlit love As early morning practices, upon the breeze above Delivering a soften faire to those who wait their turn With open heart and eyes so wide, of all that they may learn I reach for but the precious charm a’ sit aloft, it’s true Behold the silent memories along this dawning view Within the woven canopy my heart to cling this scene For in the mist of solitude does come my eyes this dream O’ wisp of hair in golden sheen and eyes of oak stain brown Lone features that do capture me of every thought I’ve found A’ drizzle on my faded skin, thy touch a soothing care And whispers come of loving words and moments we are there I paint this with a brush of hope and colors lemon gray With strokes so bold of magnitude on this my grand display To gaze upon the canvas with an eye of contemplate To breathe a breath of evermore and pray it’s not too late I find this morning symphony does bring about a light In shades of endless branch to sway, between this day and night Though still my heart, a’ dance of dreams and vision on the view Does seek the love of perfect joy which rains on me from you A’ drink the rising beacon of the red and glowing sun As misty tones of violet bequeath my only one Now listen as the whippoorwill, its song about to be Of all my soul does long in prayers that you are here with me © 2013 Jack...Author's Note
