Weary TravelerA Poem by Jack...Searching for loveWeary Traveler By Jack Ivey So long of path he wanders O’er valleys cast a’ deep Of lengthy days to ponder Down mountain pass so steep His journey tends to linger Nor nighttime shall he rest For this, the weary traveler The prize does stay his quest O’ heart so true awaiting Beyond the oceans wide The distance concentrating To lie but near her side Of tattered clothed exhaustion No obstacle shall slow The pace of constant travel To get where he must go For as the city beckons Of light shone up above At last the weary traveler Shall find his one true love © 2013 Jack...Author's Note
